Debra L. Knapp

Debra L. Knapp, 58, of Cedar Rapids, unexpectedly gained her angel wings on July 2, 2019 in her home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Springs of Life Foursquare Church.

Deb is survived by her children, Scott (Rachel) Knapp; Jillian Knapp; and Cory Knapp and her grandchildren, Davin, Jazlyn, and Henry whom she loved with all her heart.  Also surviving are her sisters in Arizona, Teri (Randy) Schulte and Kathy (Doug) Morrow, and her father Don Neer, as well as other family members.  She was welcomed into Heaven by her mother, Janice Neer and her brother, Mike Neer.

Deb was born August 8, 1960 in Fullerton, California.  She later joined the US Army.  Throughout her life she lived in several states including Oregon, Washington, Missouri, North Carolina, and California and then finally settling in Iowa.  Deb worked at Goodwill and Rockwell in Coralville.  She enjoyed collecting angels as well as doing carts and crafts.  Deb was loved by many friends and family members.  Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She gave much of herself and time to help where she could. After her death, she was able to donate her medical supplies to His Hands Free Clinic, bringing a tremendous offering to those in need throughout her community.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to her family.

As Deb would say: “Peace”
