Mary “Jean” Davis, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
A memorial mass celebrating Jean’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church on Saturday. Inurnment will be held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ryan, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Ross; son, Mark Davis of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Diane (Brian) Johnson of Detroit, MI. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 brothers and sisters.
Mary Jean Lyness was born November 9, 1926 in Ryan, Iowa the daughter of Lloyd and Nellie (McGraw) Lyness. On August 20, 1960, she married Ross Davis in Cedar Rapids. Jean was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, enjoyed cooked and especially enjoyed being with her family.
