Dennis Michael Horn, 77, of Elkader, Iowa died Sunday, January 6, 2019. Memorial Service: 11:00 am Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Norway Lutheran Church in St. Olaf, Iowa. A Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm Monday, January 14, 2019 also at Norway Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Horn; son, Michael (Shelly) Horn; daughter, Autumn (Al) Hall; four grandchildren, Brandon, Bailee, Ryann and Austin; and two great grandchildren, Leslee and Charlee.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Viola Horn, and brother, Bill Horn.
Dennis was born in Independence, Iowa on November 19, 1941. He graduated from Independence High School and was a Veteran of the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. Dennis was a member of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, American Legion and NRA.
Dennis retired from Steamfitters Union with 50 years of service. He was an active member of the Norway Lutheran Church. Dennis was an avid traveler as his Ford F250 will attest with 400,000+, 1 owner miles.
Dennis and Marcia were remarried in 2016 and spent the last two years enjoying life together by traveling and spending time with friends and family and creating a lot of great memories.
Memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Dennis.
