"Denny" Dennis Albrecht

Dennis “Denny” Albrecht, 75, of New Hampton, died peacefully on Feb. 5th, 2019 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

His Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton, from 1-3 PM in the Fellowship Hall with Rev. Kevin Frey officiating. A private family interment of ashes will be held following his celebration.

Dennis was born March 10, 1943 in Waterloo, IA, the son of John and Grace (Westendorf) Albrecht. He attended and graduated from the New Hampton Community School District in 1961. In August 1961, Dennis joined the United States Army. After serving 3 years of active duty and 3 years of active reserves, Dennis was honorably discharged in July of 1967. On June 18, 1966, Dennis married Sandra Nemmers in Loves Park, IL. The couple settled in New Hampton and welcomed 3 children; John, Michael and Denise. Recently, Dennis was united with his first born child, Lisa. Dennis was a mechanists by trade. He enjoyed wood working and his garage, fishing, camping, playing cards and watching wrestling and westerns, but most of all, loved time with his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, John (Hope) Albrecht of Goose Creek, SC; two daughters, Lisa (Doug) Morris-Krohn of Chaska, MN. and Denise (Matt) Brummond of Granger, IA; 6 grandchildren, Nathan, Haley, Dylan, Maddison, Elizabeth and Nickolas. 5 great-grandchildren, Kinsli, Brynlee, David J., Jada and Parker. 3 brothers, Darrell (Vi), James (Delores), Charles (Wilda) and 1 sister, Karolyn (Tom) Upham.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael.
