Bonnyle Humphrey

Bonnyle Humphrey, 82, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Monticello Nursing and Rehab Center under hospice care.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 6th at 10:30 am at the Viola Methodist Church in Viola, Iowa.  A gathering of family and friends will follow at the church.

Bonnyle was born September 25, 1936 to Paul and Beryl (Rowe) Secrist in New Hampton, Iowa.  She married Roy Humphrey on February 3, 1965 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Bonnyle worked for many years at Rockwell-Collins and greatly enjoyed her early retirement.  She spent her time gardening, quilting and reading but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roy of Anamosa; her daughters Ann (Al) Weers of Anamosa, Kay (Steve) Paulsrud of Muscatine and Nancy (Bill) Schreiber of Muscatine; her siblings Doug (Jan) Secrist of Viola, John (Elaine) Secrist of Monticello and Steve (Denise) Secrist of Sparta, Wisconsin; grandchildren Chris Carpenter (Jasmine Bird), Katy Bloom, Jessica Piehl (Dan), Aaron Weers, Wayne Schreiber (Brooklyn Bermel) and Caitlin Weers (David Gregory); and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Wayne Wadsworth, brother Mike Secrist and infant sister Donna Secrist.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to your favorite charity.
