Glennore Elaine Parker, age 74 of Winterset, Iowa, was born August 17, 1944, in Des Moines, Iowa to Dwight and Katherine (Jordan) Thomas. Glennore was one of 10 children born to this union. She died August 14, 2019, in Winterset, Iowa.
Glennore was the mother of five sons; Edward Allen, Eugene Ronald, Ronald Glen, Robert Allen, and Paul Dean. Glennore lived in Des Moines, later moving to St. Charles, and ultimately residing in Winterset, Iowa. She was a lifelong nurse, dedicating her life to the care of others. Prior to retiring, she most recently worked at Madison County Hospital. In her free time, Glennore enjoyed knitting and visiting with friends and family.
Surviving relatives include sons Edward of Winterset; Eugene (Lezli) of New Virignia; Ronald of Indianola; Robert of Indianola; and Paul of St. Charles; as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Glennore was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Ruth and Janet.
