Andrew Hoyt

Andrew John "AJ" Hoyt, 28, of Des Moines passed away August 7th, 2019 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center from cardiac arrest.  AJ was born August 31st, 1990 to Judy Wentz and was adopted by Randy and Deb Hoyt in 2000. He attended Southeast Polk High School. He worked for Ron Griffey construction. AJ enjoyed being outdoors hiking, camping, fishing, riding and caring for his horse Bill, and sitting around a bonfire. He also enjoyed working with his hands rebuilding bicycles and working on cars. He was very artistic and loved drawing and editing pictures for his family and friends.  Most of all he loved his children.

He leaves behind his children and their families:  wife, Natasha, daughters, Judy and Kaydence Hoyt, Sandyville, Iowa. Amelia Wildt, son Lyric Hoyt, Boone, Iowa.  Jodee, son Lucas McCain. Parents: Randy and Deb Hoyt, Runnells, Ia. Sisters: BreAnna (James) Flemington, Missouri, Melody (Brian) Christopher and TJ, Oklahoma, Meghan (Ian) and Ezra Williams, Des Moines, IA., Ruth Gorman, Runnells, IA.  Brothers: Jared (Ali) Conner, Jackson and Mason Hoyt, Polk City, Ia., Matt Hoyt, San Francisco, CA., Mitchell Hoyt, San Francisco, CA.  Although adopted Aunt Vicky and Deb helped keep his biological sisters in contact with him: Leandra (Kyle) Aubrey, Parker Holdorf, Altoona, Ia., Lindsay (Rob) Racer Bennett, Des Moines, IA. and Jessica Wentz, Jacksonville, Florida

He most recently started dating Amanda Riley, Des Moines, Ia. and has made a positive impact on her for life. 

He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Judy Wentz and son, Samuel.
