Gilbert Victor Urias, 64, passed September 24, 2018, at his home in West Des Moines, Iowa, which was his last wish.
Gilbert and Sylvia were married February 2, 1980. They were married 38 years.
Together Gilbert and Sylvia raised six children. Norma Leticia Gomez, Angelica Hayden, Christina Marie Sitterding, Gilbert Anthony Urias, Andrew Victor Urias, and Aaron Vincent Urias.
Gilbert was a wonderful man. Hard worker, loving father, loving grandfather. He lived for his family. He was very much a strong influence on his children. Gil always worried his family was ok. Always there to help solve whatever problem arose. A man of integrity, morals and love of life. Funny, silly and a great sense of humor. Loved his family and all that knew him.
Together Gilbert and Sylvia had 16 grandchildren. A great legacy for a truly wonderful man.
Gilbert will be greatly missed.
