Roy E. Davis, 73, of Monticello, Iowa, died Thursday, October 18, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his significant other of 36 years, June Koelker; daughter, Jessica (Michael) Koelker-Davis-Nelson of Huntsville, AL; son, Rodney (Gena) Koelker of Collinsville, MS; son-in-law, Travis Niehaus of Delhi, IA; 5 grandchildren, Jazz, Spencer, Sterling, Izabel and Blake; sisters, Verna Sue Long, Betty Corn and Patsy Little.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Jackalin Niehaus, 2 brothers, Jim and Clarence Davis and 2 sisters, Margaret Smith and Bessie James.
Roy Emmett Davis was born June 30, 1945 in Meridian, Mississippi the son of Clarence and Claudine (Early) Davis. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. Roy drove a semi for Link Trucking and Westside Transport for many years. He especially enjoyed playing cards and playing golf at the Monticello Golf Course. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
