Herman Lee Wenman
Herman Lee Wenman, 89, of Iowa City, passed away on Friday, October 26th, after a long battle.
A small graveside service will be held on Friday, November 2nd at 12:30 at Memory Gardens, Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Herman’s name to Hospice of Iowa City.
Herman was born to Jasper and Verdie Wenman in Tiffin, Iowa on January 14, 1929. He graduated from Tiffin High School (class of 1948), and spent many years working in and supervising the University of Iowa print services shop. Herman was a member of the Masons. He married Rose Graham Wenman in Iowa City on January 23, 1948, and together they raised three children in the Iowa City area. They spent their retirement years traveling to Arizona and Florida. Herman could often be found playing harmonica with family and friends, and enjoyed music until his death.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years; children Dan (Diane) Wenman, Donna Swenka and Mark (Deb) Wenman; 8 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
