William “Bill” Ireland, 73, of Cedar Rapids died Thursday May 10, 2018 in Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at on Tuesday May 15, 2018 with a visitation from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with services to follow at 1:00 pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Karon, his daughters Dawn (Bryan) Griffith, Sherilyn (Todd) Howe, Tracy (Eric) Spray, his sister Betty Mittan, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren with two more on the way.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Bill was born May 1, 1945 he was an avid sports fan and loved the Bears, the Cubs and the Hawkeyes. Bill loved Nascar and bowling, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with family including his grandchildren. He would always call the grandkids on their birthdays and sing to them. Bill was a member of the Cedar Hills Booster club for many years.
