Raymond Hill

Rev. Raymond D. Hill, Jr., 69 of Lohrville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Shady Oaks nursing home in Lake City, Iowa.

Ray is survived by his wife, Sandi of Lohrville, IA, and their sons Christopher (Monica) Hill of Boston, MA, and Jonathan (Stacy) Hill of Portland, OR and 4 loving beagles.

He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Martha Hill & his sister Deborah Copelin. 

Ray was born March 15th, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH. He then went on to further his education at the University of Cincinnati and proceeded to graduate from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Illinois.

Ray was a youth minister for many years in Illinois, Michigan, and Virginia, and later pastored in Iowa until he retired. He worked at a furniture store for 15 years while holding a bible study and prayer room out of his home. He devoted over 40 years of his life to the ministry and touched many hearts along the way.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, June 22 at 7pm at the Harcourt Covenant Church. 114 E 2nd St. Harcourt, IA 50544.
