Hazel Ruth Hill, 70, of West Burlington, died Monday, July 02, 2018 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Memorial Service: 10:00 am Monday, July 9, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held from 6-7 pm Sunday, July 8, 2018 also at the church with service of the word beginning at 7:00 pm. Please come help us remember Hazel and share old pictures and your favorite memories.
Hazel was born November 20, 1947, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Loper) Rice, in Burlington. She worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Francis Care Center. Hazel loved anything crafty from sewing doll clothes to scrapbooking. She enjoyed puzzles of any kind crosswords and Sudoku were her favorite. Baking cooking and spending time with family were her passions.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Bowden; three grandchildren, Cain and Aryanna Bowden and Ausslin Henry; two sisters, Rose Hicks, Sandra Powell; five brothers, Daniel, David, Dennis, Darryl and John Rice; many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bob.
Memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Hazel.
