Bruce Weeks
Bruce Allen Weeks passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at Salem United Methodist Church, 3715 33rd Ave SW, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday, February 10, 2018. A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 and the service by Chaplain Deb Black will follow.
Bruce was born on December 23, 1941 in Ionia, Michigan. He moved to Cedar Rapids from Michigan and worked at Goss Graphics Systems for 35 years until they closed. He was a hard worker and a dedicated husband and father. Bruce loved fishing, playing cards, telling jokes model railroading.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Trina, of 55 years. Also surviving are children; Karen Sue Stout (Doug), David Weeks, Terry Weeks (Charlotte), Shawn Weeks (Renae); five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Sharon Boerma, half-brothers, Charlie Weeks, Clifford Weeks, half-sisters Charloette Weeks, of Michigan and Theresa Weeks of Wyoming and many nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, John G. and Faye Weeks; stepmother Peggy Weeks and one great-grandson.
