Shelly Ann Osten, 53, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital. A celebration of Shelly’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 17th at the Grace Baptist Church in Marion. Entrusted with the arrangements is Iowa Cremation.
Shelly Ann Osten was born on January 3rd, 1965; the daughter of Vernon C. Trumm and Carol A Tibbetts in Dyersville, Iowa.
Shelly loved the Chicago Bears, Cubs and Penn State. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and football with family and friends. She will always be remembered for being a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Shelly will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She was survived by her husband, Ray Osten; a daughter, Shonda (Luke) Jeffrey; two step-son’s, Ray (Julie) Osten and Randy Osten; grandson’s, Jonathan and Samuel Jeffrey; a brother, Rick (Jackie) Trumm; nieces, Megan (Josh) Vranish and Madeline Trumm; step-father, Harold Tibbett; honorary mom, Glenda Miller; and many loving extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family has respectfully requested that any memorials may be directed to the family or Grace Baptist Church in Shelly’s honor.
