Evelyn Kathleen Slatten
Evelyn Kathleen Slatten, 77, of Adel, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Adel Acres Care Center with her daughter Shirley Ann by her side.
Evelyn was born December 2nd, 1940; in Adel, Iowa, the daughter of William (Bill) Slatten and Edith (Bicknell) Reynolds; she attended Adel High School.
Her family includes her six children, Randy (Sue) Foster of Cherry Valley CA, Roxanne (Alan) Wicks of Adel, Willie (Diane Porter) Foster of Urbandale, Ed (Sue) Foster of Newton, Rick (Rene) Foster of Creston and Shirley (Ed) Anderson of Adel; 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Marker and Lorraine Eyre; and several nieces and nephews.
She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Bill Slatten and Edith Reynolds; brother, Ronnie Slatten; and grandson, Joshua “Wyatt” Foster.
The Family would like to thank the staff at Adel Acres Care Center for all the love and care they showed Evelyn.
A memorial service to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Panther Creek Church of the Brethren, Adel, Iowa.
