Over 63 years, they welcomed 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren into the world and Edna set about teaching them the value of hard work along with the importance of enjoying life. Her main passion were her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, they were her pride and joy.

Edna and Dwight ran a grocery store in West Chester from the late 1960’s to the early 1970’s. They also built a family farm and Edna continued to work on the farm until illness prevented her from continuing. Edna was a winter Texan, and spent many of those winters working as a manager at the VIP Motel in McAllen, TX and as the secretary for her home-owners association. Edna was a passionate gardener and always known for the beautiful flowers surrounding her house. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and hosting gatherings at her home, which were attended by friends from throughout the United States and Canada.
