John LeRoy (Bud) Rouse

John LeRoy Rouse (Bud), 82, of Adair, formerly of Des Moines, passed away on August 10, 2018 of heart failure.

He was born on September 26, 1935 to Art and Helen (Templeton) Rouse in Des Moines, Iowa. Per his wishes he was cremated and graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Lutheran Cemetery in Adair. A celebration of life will follow the graveside services at the First Presbyterian Church in Adair.

John is survived by son, John Terry (Pam) Rouse; daughters, Kim (Clint) Engle, Tracy Jones; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Kinney, Marilyn (Ed) Anderson, Pat (Bill) Lefleur, and Diana (Larry) Smith; his brother, Ronald Rouse; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Bainter and Connie McWilliams.

John (Bud) served in the US Navy from 1956 to 1960 and was a Korean War veteran. He retired from Firestone Tire. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved playing softball for many years in leagues through the City of Des Moines and while in the US Navy.
