Lawrence Wubbena, 73, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Crestview Acres in Marion. Local arrangements entrusted to Iowa Cremation.
Lawrence is survived by his children, Roice Burkey of Alburnett, IA; Ronda (Lonny) Walker of Kearney, MO; granddaughter, Cody (Jeff) Homes of Kearney, MO; great-granddaughters, Isabel and Julia Homes of Kearney, MO; his twin sister, Lorraine Braham of Milwaukee, WI; a sister, Martha Walters of Grundy Center, IA; two brothers, Meint Wubbena of Ackley, IA; and Alvin Wubbena of La Porte City, IA
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lyla May, a step-son Rick, grandson Brok, and a sister Dorothy.
Lawrence Wubbena was born on September 22, 1944 in Iowa Falls, Iowa, the son of Fred and Sobena (Dirkson) Wubbena. He was united in marriage to Lyla Geiger on May 07, 1969 in Blair, Nebraska. Lawrence enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood working. He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his beloved grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
