Mary E. DeSotel, 54 of Cedar Rapids passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2017. Mary was born on April 20, 1963 to Merle and Marjorie (Bloom) DeSotel.
She graduated in 1981 from North Linn High School in Troy Mills. Mary found joy in taking care of children in a daycare. She cherished her time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her three siblings Marcia Burns of Cedar Rapids, Lorri Ripperda of Hills, Minnesota, Brian (Gidget) DeSotel of Walker; nieces and nephews Myla and Greg Burns, Aubrey Juarez, Sarah Boese, and Derek and Brionna DeSotel. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a nephew Eric Burns.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mary was a beloved sister that will be greatly missed.
