Obituary for Robert Joe Loffredo

Robert Joe Loffredo, of Des Moines, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.  He was born on November 19, 1935.  Robert married Elizabeth Ruth Jackson on September 28, 1974. He was retired as an electrician from the VA Hospital and as a young man, he worked with his father.  He graduated from Lincoln High School and remained a south sider.  From early childhood, Robert had a fascination with airplanes and served in the US Air Force.  He donated many valuable items to Greenfield Aviation Museum and Antique Airfield in Ottumwa, IA.  He is survived by his wife, Betty, daughter, Samantha, brother, Carl and sister Theresa all of the Des Moines area.  Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Mickie and Joe Loffredo. His body was cremated and a memorial service will be at the South Side Senior Center in the near future.
