Larry J. Taylor
I met Larry about 40 years ago. I would see Larry every 2nd Saturday in December for a number of years. Larry and I would referee the Emmetsburg Wrestling Tournament on that Saturday. I grew up in Humboldt he knew some of the Humboldt wrestlers and I knew the Algona wrestlers. I moved to Ames but I still worked the Emmetsburg tournament, it was a two and half hour drive to get there but I wanted to do the tournament, one reason was to work with Larry. He was a great guy to be around. He would share his stories about his daughters activities. He was very proud of them. I am so very sorry to hear Larry has past away. Please accept my sympathy for your loss. I have nothing but good memories about my time with Larry.
Jeannie and families, What a surprise to open the Des Moines paper and see Larry's obituary. Our condolences to all of you. The previous week, we had been visiting with other Algona people, talking about those we remembered. Our couples bridge group came up along with Larry not bothering to separate his card suites. Those were fun days that seem to belong to the days of work, having babies and raising children. May God bless all of you with great memories of Larry. Love, The Dunns
Jeanne and family - Just got the Algona Paper and read about Larry. So sorry for your loss. I looked for you this year at the IA St girls basketball games and didn't see you guys. Larry was one of the good ones. He always remembered me when and had time for a chat. My thoughts and prayers for you during this difficult time.
Jean, Tracy, and Tina, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I really enjoyed working with Larry and following your careers thru him. From Canada Fishing trips to ISU women's basketball, we had a lot of fun together. I will really miss Larry. Mark Fisher
I just want to say how sorry I am to all of the Taylor family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!! Love you!!
Tracy, Our thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family for your loss. We love you all. Gina, Adam and Adriana Lehe
I called on Mitch and Larry in Algona in '84 & '85, working for American Cyanamid. I am so sorry for your loss. Larry always treated me well and I enjoyed calling on him. I was the "new salesman" on the block and he was kind enough to help me all he could. I will always remember his kindness to me. R.I.P. Larry, May the angels run out to greet you. You deserve it.
