Joseph Aldridge

Joe was born on September 2, 1936 in Blandinsville, IL to Elmer Aldridge and Hattie Duncan. He was raised by his uncle Verne & aunt Lucille, near Kirksville, MO. Joe graduated the eighth grade. Joe was united in marriage to Julia Josephine Sichra on April 12, 1958. He had drove truck in his younger years. Had his own carpenter business. He worked at Tama Pack for 25 years and retired from there. Joe loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards bid uker, coon hunting, fishing, vacationing, snowmobiling, horseback riding with his wife and kids. He had a collection of Bryer horses and geodes. He raised his walker coon hounds and Chesapeake Bay retrievers that he would take to old sandpit. 

He is survived by his wife Julia and five children. Becky (Chuck) Purk, Tama, IA, Bernie (Nan) Aldridge, Tama, IA, Julie (Randy) Chelsea, IA, Rick (Roni) Aldridge, Soldotna, Alaska, Laurie (Jim) Schmitt, Doniphine, NE, & brother Dean Aldridge, Ft. Madison, IA. Joe has 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, three brother-in-laws, one sister-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his father Elmer, step mother Hazel, mother Hattie, brother Herb Aldridge, two sisters Leathafae Cassidy & Elaine McLaroy. 

There will be a celebration of life at the Eagles Hall, Tama, IA on Saturday January 14th, 2017 from 1-4pm. Please come and celebrate his life with the family
