Carol married Glenn Sheldon on Dec. 29, 1967, in Ionia, and they made their home in Plainfield.

She worked at Harrison Orchards in Nashua, candled eggs in New Hampton, and farmed in Plainfield for 11 years before moving to Nashua in 1984. She worked at ConAgra in Fredericksburg for 17 years, retiring in 2000.

Carol enjoyed baking, doing yard work, and eating big pieces of chocolate cake. She was an artist who drew and painted animals and landscapes. She had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her beautiful flowers. Carol was hardworking, strong, independent, witty, generous, and courageous. She often said raising her children was her greatest accomplishment. She dearly loved attending her grandchildren's activities and always brought homemade cookies or treats for them to enjoy afterwards. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
