Linda K. Abernathey, 74, of Hiawatha, died on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Hiawatha Care Center. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Linda was born on August 30, 1943 to John and Marian Radeke Greenlee in Belle Plaine, Iowa. She worked as a cashier at Menards.
She is survived by her daughter, Allison (Mike) Bachelder of Belle Plaine; 2 sons, Christopher and James Abernathey; a sister, Mary (John) Tilton of Hiawatha; 3 brothers, Dennis (Donna) Greenlee of Belle Plaine; Marc (Barbara) Greenlee of Vinton; Robert (Luann) Greenlee of Lisbon; and numerous grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial donations may be directed to First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids.
