Irene L. Robinson
Irene L. Robinson, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Crestview Acres. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Iowa Cremation, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include sons, Dale (Cyndi “Kookie”) Robinson of Cedar Rapids; Dennis Robinson of Belle Plaine and Douglas Robinson of Vinton; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Hans), Heather, Sharon, Holly, Jake, Josh, Danny; and several great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Alvin Moldrem, Ed Moldrem and Jim Moldrem and two sisters, Vi Ness and Lila Sexton and several nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Hildy Moldrem; her husband, Harold Robinson; her daughter, Debbie Riffey; a granddaughter, Denise Riffey and a sister, Leona Zundel.
Irene was born October 5, 1934, the daughter of Leon and Hilda Moldrem, in Plankington, South Dakota. On June 16, 1954, she married Harold Robinson in Plankington, South Dakota. Irene loved music and cherished her piano, it was her comfort and joy. Her passion for family, together with church kept her busy. Her smile would always be the light in every room. Irene will be greatly missed as well as her laughter. Irene went home to live eternally in our Lord’s great eternal heaven and finally free of illness.
