Doris E. Schroeder, 93, of Wilton, Iowa passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 24th, 2016, at 3p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Muscatine, Iowa. Floral arrangements may be delivered in the afternoon.
Doris Evelyn Ford was born on March 12, 1923 in Wilton to Vernon and Leona (Wishart) Ford, where she grew up and attended school. She was united in marriage to Carroll F. Schroeder on December 7, 1941. To this union, five children were born.
Doris was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She enjoyed family, cooking, journaling, reading, and always had a keen interest in everyone she met.
Doris is survived by her five children: Steve Schroeder of the Philippines; Daryl (Charlene) Schroeder of Pueblo, Colorado; Perry (Jeanean) Schroeder of Phoenix, Arizona; Lori (David) Shook of Wilton, Iowa; and Monte (Michelle) Schroeder of Burnsville, Minnesota; eighteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and brother Ronald (Katherine) Ford.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carroll, in 2011.
