Cynthia “Cyndi” Christensen, 67, of North Liberty, died September 30, 2016 at Iowa City Rehabilitation and Health Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. A gathering will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at City Park Shelter #14, Iowa City, Iowa.
Cyndi was born on July 6, 1949, the daughter of LaVerne Christensen and Doris Jackson. She worked at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics for over 20 years, and most recently for the Iowa City Community School District.
Cyndi is survived by her sons, Richard and Christopher Christensen. Her grandchildren, Demetri and Lexi. Her sisters, Carolyn (Bob Glaspie) Henderson of Kalona; Marge (Rick) Polman of West Liberty; Kathy Jackson of Fort Myers, FL and Wanda (Bruce) Lindaman of Centerville and brother, Ric (Chantel) Christensen of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her sister, Linda Stroud.
