Susan D. Freudenberg, 63, of Marion, Iowa, died Monday, March 21, 2016 under the care of UnityPoint Hospice at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Springville United Methodist Church with service immediately following at 6:00 p.m. Private inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Susan was born September 2, 1952 in Anamosa to Owen Edward and Marilyn June (Rahn) Thomas. She was married to Daryl Freudenberg on November 18, 1983 in Marion.
Susan worked for eighteen years at the Olive Garden, where she was a kitchen helper. She had previously worked at Souvenir Pen and Pencil.
Susan enjoyed doing crafts. She was always working on scrapbooking, embroidery, making jewelry, or other handiwork. She also enjoyed raising guinea pigs.
She is survived by her siblings: Sharon (Jerald) Hartman of Florence, Missouri; Mark (Beth) Thomas of Anamosa; and Roxie Enos of Springville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; husband Daryl; and special friend Dennis Franke.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Susan’s name.
