Lester Samuels
Lester H. Samuels, 74 of Wapello passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at his home on March 25, 2016. Les was born November 2, 1941 in Burlington, Iowa. The son of Ray and Alice (Hupp) Samuels. On February 14, 1974 he was united in marriage to Mary P. (Gluba) Heater. Les enjoyed working at S&J Tube, fishing, playing cards and spending time with family. He was honored to be a 50 year member of the Odd Fellows. Les will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary of Wapello; son David (Jennifer) Samuels of Chesterfield, VA; Jerry (Jane) Heater of Sumner; Dan (Gail) Heater of Riverside; Scott (Janell) Heater of Wapello and Jody (Jimmy) Keen of Tallahassee, FL Siblings—Doris MacEachern, Jack (Shirley) Samuels, Keith Samuels, Larry (Dorothy) Samuels. Grandchildren—Autumn Samuel, Joel Heater, Jereme Heater, Jaime Copeman, Jessica Buster, Jeff Heater, Savannah Warriner, Taylor and Ryan Samuels. Great grandchildren—Noah & Tyler Samuel, Max & Isaac Heater, Preston Dyer & Jeremiah Heater, Rylie & Kyler Copeman, Aidyn, Ali & Ayla Buster. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles (Bill) Samuels.
