Allen "Hutch" Hutchison
Allen Robert Hutchison “Hutch”, 75, of Fairfax, passed away with his loving wife by his side on March 4, 2016 at Heritage Specialty Care.
Hutch was born on March 31, 1940 in Oelwein, IA to Robert and Helen (Streicher) Hutchison. Hutch grew up in Arlington, Iowa. He served in the Army with the Military Police in Germany. He married Pamela Merritt on September 30, 1989 at Palisades-Kepler State Park. He was foreman with Gee Grading and Excavating, for 17 years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Operating Engineer Union Local 234. He enjoyed playing cards and shooting a good game of pool. He also thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the outdoors in his garden, mushroom hunting, and giving cart rides to the grandkids.
Hutch is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Pam; his two daughters Kimberly Hutchison and Kelly (Nick Avery) Hutchison; stepchildren Ettinah Kent, Chad (Holly) Merritt; brother John (Marianne) Hutchison; sister Lynette Sander; 12 step grandchildren; and 2 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
