Ursula E. Hamilton
Ursula E. Hamilton went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2016 at the age of 95. She was born on March 12, 1921 in Stolp, Germany to Karl and Anna Sonnemann. In 1941, she married Bernhard Dickneite (deceased). Ursula and her youngest daughter moved to the United States in 1964 to reunite with her oldest daughter. In 1970, Ursula married Johann Kratochwill (deceased, 1984).
In 1986, she married Bill Hamilton (deceased, 2016). Bill and Ursula lived in Rock Island, IL and enjoyed many years of extensive travel throughout the U.S. and Europe. Ursula was one of the initial organizers of the German-American Family Club of Rock Island. She also worked for many years at Wm. Mosenfelder & Sons.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her daughters: Renate Lucas (Warren), Carmen Baize (Greg Sr.); her siblings: Gerda Keller, Karl Sonnemann; her step-children: Jill (David) Linder, Kim Hamilton, Jan Mossage (Dean), Sue Hamilton-Petty (Rick); seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hamilton is also preceded in death by her parents, two sons Bernhard and Uve Dickneite both in childhood, and one sister Irmgard.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
