Gary Michael McIntire, 75, of Fairfield, Iowa died on Friday, July 15, 2016. He was born on February 15, 1941 in Fairfield to Robert and Daisy (Pickering) McIntire.
Gary graduated from Fairfield High School in 1959 and Elim Bible College in Lima, New York in 1965. Gary gave his heart to Jesus Christ in the summer of 1960 which changed his life forever. His heart’s desire was that everyone would come to know the Lord. He married Kathryn Langnes on May 31, 1965, and lived in Fairfield, IA, where he worked at the Dexter Company for 40 years where he made many friends and attended the Foursquare Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn McIntire; his only daughter, Jeannette (Tony) Finley, Omaha, NE; granddaughter, Sarah (Eric) Heidemann (and great grandbaby due in January) of Des Moines, IA; grandson, David Finley of Omaha, NE; sisters, Roberta Kinnamon of Chandler, AZ; Loretta (Robert) Gould of Chattanooga, TN; and brother, Larry (Linda) McIntire of Fairfield, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Daisy McIntire.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00am at the Foursquare Church, 1700 S Main St., Fairfield, IA.
Memorials may be directed to Agapeland Preschool and Child Care Center.
