Dennis D. Hook, 70, of Corydon, Iowa died Friday, July 1, 2016 at his residence under the care of hospice.
He was born June 7, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Duane and Phyllis (Meyer) Hook. Dennis was united in marriage to Dorothy “Dottie” Stamp on February 26, 1969 in Reno, Nevada.
Dennis owned and operated Wayne County Sewer Service for over twenty-five years. He had previously been a resident of Eugene, Oregon for six years. He enjoyed watching television and working on puzzles. He was an outdoorsman who especially loved to hunt and fish.
Dennis is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Dottie; daughters Dawn Hook of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Angela Sissel of Ottumwa; son Dennis Hoffmann of Mercer, Missouri; step-son Robert Wampach of Donnellson; six grandchildren; and _____ great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his brothers and sisters: Deanna Luedtke of Wisconsin; Dea Dent of Oklahoma; Dixie Benner of Kansas; David Hook of Corydon; Donald Hook of Centerville; Darcy Johnson of Texas; Donette West of Florida; Donna Curtis of Promise City; Daniel Penfield of Iowa; and Darrin Hook of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Daniel Hook.
