Betty Lou Hutchinson
Betty Lou Hutchins passed away peacefully on July 5, 2016 at home.
Betty was born on January 15, 1930 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Omer and Mable Hubbard. She was raised on a farm southwest of Eldora, Iowa. She attended Goose Creek School and was a graduate of Eldora High School in 1948.
Betty worked at ACT, Riepe, Buchanan & Piper, and for Dr. Maria Conley of Conley Chiropractic. She retired in 1995.
Betty was a friend to many and will be dearly missed. She enjoyed feeding and watching her birds and deer, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandsons, Liam and Eli.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Carol, son-in-law Mike Strabala, grandson Chris Strabala and his wife Tessa, great-grandsons Liam and Eli Strabala, and granddaughter Ashley Strabala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters, and former husband, James Hutchins.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the American Legion in Coralville from 1-4 p.m.
Betty wished to be cremated. A private family gathering will be planned at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
