Norman Borrall
Norman Borrall, 69, of Afton died Friday Jan. 15, 2016, while receiving hospice services at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola after battling a progressive illness for the last year and a half. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Lucas County, Iowa.
Norman Borrall, son of Charles and Lucille Borrall, was born at home May 11, 1946 in Lucas County. Norman married Gabriele Jander on July 6, 1984 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Norman worked as an automotive service manager for 45 years. He enjoyed history, literature and woodworking, but especially enjoyed gardening every moment he was able.
Norman is survived by his wife of 31 years Gabriele of Afton; son, Charles (Michelle) Borrall of Suffolk, Virginia and step-daughter Tina (Tony) Jensen of Afton; grandchild Steven Borrall of Suffolk, Virginia and step-grandchildren Shane, Jenna and Katie Jensen of Afton; sisters Frances (Gene) Oxford of Osceola, Emma Phillips of Osceola, Esta Rae (James) Knapik of Topeka, Kansas and Betty Malloy of Boone

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucille Borrall and brother, Charles Borrall.
