Malcolm Libni Cook
We are sorry you had to say Farewell to your father. we are rejoicing in his new faith in Christ! What sweet reunion we can look forward to, seeing our loved one and seeing our glorious Savior. We pray God's comfort on you and His gentle peace as you continue to walk in faith.
Dear Cook Family Members My brother and sisters and I are all grads of Cheyenne High School and were members of Cheyenne's First Methodist Church. We enjoyed knowing Mr. Cook as a teacher and fellow member of the church choir. I student taught at Carey Jr. High; then substituted in the city's jr highs and senior highs. I soon came into contact with Malcolm... and after calling him "Mr. Cook," he kindly suggested it would be OK to call him "Malcolm." I bought a copy of the book he wrote from the church. What a blessing Malcolm was in my family's life. He and my father-in-law were in the teaching profession together for many decades. I had Mr. Cook as a teacher myself. But the thing I will always remember the most was his kindness to my father-in-law in his final months of life: knowing the importance of books and literature to John, Malcolm would go to the hospital or nursing home and read aloud to him. What a kind and genuinely nice person! My condolences on your loss.
Malcolm was a wonderful teacher, mentor and friend. A principled person with high standards, he was a positive guiding force for the many teachers, students and administrators with whom he came into contact. Laramie County School District #1 and Cheyenne, WY are much better places because of Malcolm's efforts. He will be deeply missed. Don Morris
