Virginia Powelka
We are so sorry to hear of Virginia's passing. She was such a fun person. We have so many happy memories of the good times spent at the Powelka house with Joe, John, and Mike when we were in high school. Got to know the girls later as they were younger. We still talk about the get to gethers that we had out at the nursery. Also had many good talks with her after we had kids of our own. Virginia was a person who would talk to you about most anything and would tell you like it was. Loved her sense of humor. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
So sorry to hear of Virginia's passing. I have great memories of "mom" whenever Hope, Amy and I would be hanging out at the house/nursery when we were in high school and the summer after graduation. Such a fun, loving woman!!
So sorry to hear of Virginia's passing. She was a lot of fun to work with at the Maquoketa Medical Center. I will miss her and her friendship. My deepest sympathy to your family. Marie

LeRoy and family. I just wanted to let you know that I feel very honored to have known Virginia. Once a nurse, always a nurse. Having known her, I know that is so true. She was a wonderful lady. She was fun to talk to. I enjoyed her so much. She will be greatly missed. Love to you all and God Bless. JoAnn
To Leroy, Joe, John, Mike, Cindy and Hope: I just found out about Virginia and I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. We had a good group at Maquoketa Medical Center. I loved working with everyone. What I loved about Virginia most was her unfiltered wit and I never saw her in a bad mood. She could say what needed to be said without offending anyone because you knew her heart was in the right place. I will miss her but as with you, I will have many fond memories of her. Please let me know if I can do anything for you.
I just heard of Virginia's passing today and want to express my deepest sympathy. She was a great lady. My mom and Virginia were classmates as were Hope and I. I spent a lot of good times at the Powelka house and nursery. "Mom" was always there with a smile.
