Doug was born on September 21, 1953 to Ray and EchoBeth (Peterson) Nolan in Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his children Jessica (Joe) Mitchell and Caleb (Alison Moore) Nolan; grandchildren Jacob Nolan, Trinity and Teagan Mitchell; siblings Dorsey Herman, Joseph Nolan, Natalie Conner, and Donald Linder; his father Jack Linder; 2 nieces, 4 nephews; his former wife and friend Carol Nolan, and honorary daughter and caretaker Tricia Andersen. He was preceded in death by parents.
Doug felt his children were his greatest accomplishment and he loved his family. He will be remembered always.
