Dixie Bailey, 89, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Crestview Acres in Marion. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2:30 PM at St. Wenceslaus Church in Cedar Rapids.
Dixie was born on February 26, 1927; the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Knight) Bailey. Dixie enjoyed playing her guitar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, Kenneth, Glenn, Maxine, Electa, Evora, and Buddy, niece Susan and nephews Steve and Terry.
Left to cherish Dixie’s memories are her niece and three nephews, their spouses, several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Mercy Hospice and Crestview Acres staffs for their care.
