Theresa M. Vance, age 58, of Williamsburg, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, peacefully at home, after a short battle with cancer.
Theresa Marie Vance was born October 2, 1957 in Charles City, Iowa. She spent most of her life in the Iowa City area. She was a hard working mother of four and loved spending time with family and her many grandchildren. Teri’s joys were fast cars, antiquing, mushroom hunting, and playing Scrabble. She loved music and was a huge supporter of all of her family’s music endeavors.
She is survived by her mother, Wilma Jones; her children, Jamie (Vanessa) Vance of North Liberty, Jessie (Joel) McMorran of Oxford, Lee (Elizabeth) Spratt of Oxford, Breon (Adam) Tubbs of Oxford; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Zachary, Alexandra, Logan, Madalynn, Alala, Ethan, Elle, Tilly, Eevee; her boyfriend, Robert Shifflett (Barefoot Bob); her siblings, Marilyn Slivinski, Jim (Clara) Vance,
Dean Vance, Gary (Christine) Vance; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Oxford American Legion in Oxford, Iowa on Sunday May 22 from 3-7 p.m.
