Rick Bailey 63, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Rick was born in San Francisco, CA to Winford and Ruby (Childers) Bailey.
He worked for Amana Refrigeration as a Sales Rep in the San Francisco area for 23 years. Before that he worked as a restaurant manager for several years. He married the love of his life Carolyn Thayer on September 14, 1997 in Huntsville, AL. The newlyweds then started their home in the Cedar Rapids area.
Left to cherish Rick’s memory is his wife of 18 years Carolyn Bailey, his pug Vito, his mother Ruby (Carl) Lawrence, brother Ron Bailey, brother in law Douglas (Janice) Thayer, two nieces, one nephew, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Winford.
A memorial fund has been established in Rick’s name.
