Marian M. Greenlee, 91, of Belle Plaine, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Belle Plaine Care Center. A private service will be held at a later date.
Marian was born on March 7, 1925 in Elberon, Iowa. The daughter of John and Bertha (Hilton) Radeke. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School in the class of 1942. She met the love of her life John Greenlee and they were married on December 12, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio. They shared 68 years together until his passing in 2011.
Left to cherish Marian’s memory are her children Linda Abernathey of Hiawatha, Dennis (Donna) Greenlee of Belle Plaine, Marc (Barbara) Greenlee of Vinton, Mary (John) Tilton of Hiawatha, Bob (Luann) Greenlee of Lisbon; also are 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or First Presbyterian Church of Cedar Rapids.
