Larry Lee Adams, 73, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Eagle’s Club, 1735 11th St. NW, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Larry “Joe”, Jerry, Shannon (Bryan) Day, Kerry (Joni), Jenni, and Robert; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; siblings, David (Liz) Adams, Kandy (Dennis) Childs, Kathy (Steve) Kamoss.
Larry Lee Adams was born January 21, 1942 in Strawberry Point, the son of Darrell and Rita (Dalen) Adams. He graduated from Strawberry Point High School and Kirkwood Community College. Larry served an enlistment in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. On June 29, 1963, he married Carol Ann Wenger at Caledonia, MN. He worked as a foreman for 30 years at Amana Refrigeration and enjoyed camping and fishing.
The family would like to especially thank Mercy Hospice, Comfort Care and the Veterans Administration for the care they gave Larry.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
