John "Johnny" Krumm
John “Johnny” Krumm passed away September 24, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
John was born December 4, 1945, to Donald and Dalphne Krumm. After high school John joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged he worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation, Four Oaks Residential Treatment Center which he found the most rewarding and Midwest Janitorial Services.
We all knew Johnny as a sports authority with an encyclopedic knowledge of football, baseball, hockey and all sorts of other sports as well. His sense of humor made for great fun during drafts. He was always willing to trade players and take risks others would shy away from. He thoroughly enjoyed the company of his friends at “The Club” at Donutland.
Left to cherish John’s memory is his wife Joan Krumm, six children, Ryan, Stephanie, Casey, Joe, Holly, and Cheryl. A brother Brian and sister Ginger, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and his beloved dog Revie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Eric and a sister Donna.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Veterans Memorial Stadium from 3-5 PM.
