Reta Kembel
Reta Lavon Kembel, 80, of Clarence, IA, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 peacefully with family members at her side. A celebration a life will be held at United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. December 7, 2015 in Clarence with visitation from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to service and luncheon to follow.
She was born December 5, 1934 in Shellsburg, IA, the daughter of Oscar and Neva (Montgomery) Haase. Reta spent her working years as a nurse’s aide at Americana Health Care Center in Cedar Rapids. She then retired in 1999.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Kembel of Clarence; son, John (Cheryl) Kembel of Davenport; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brother, Joe Haase of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Kembel; two sisters; and two brothers.
