Ernst Scharringhausen, 73, passed away on November 3, 2015. Born April 4, 1942 in Dreye, Germany, he moved to the United States with his wife in 1969. He spent his working years in Germany and the Dubuque area as a tool-and-die maker and retired to Lansing, IA.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Julie Scharringhausen, and his daughters, Britt Scharringhausen (Jason Dettman) and Gretchen Scharringhausen, and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Michael, and Heidi Dulaney, and his sister, Linda Scharringhausen-Bothe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dietrich and Wilma Scharringhausen and his brother, Egon.
