Carolyn S. Dinsdale of Traer died Thursday, November 12 at Sunrise Hill Care Center, Traer following a lengthy illness.
Carolyn was born March 24, 1943 in Blackhawk County. She was the daughter of Ralph and Myrna (Pecenka) Strohbehn. She was united in marriage on June 15, 1963 to Richard (Dick) Dinsdale. They made their home on their farm on Ridge Road until recently moving to their home in Traer.
Carolyn is survived by her husband and two sons, Rex (Brenda) Dinsdale of Reinbeck and Jay Dinsdale of Iowa City. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Reed (Lydia) Dinsdale of Des Moines and Tessa Dinsdale of West Des Moines. She was preceded in death by a son Chet Thomas Dinsdale a daughter Tracy Lea Dinsdale and her parents.
Carolyn was an avid golfer and gardener and attended many Farmer’s Markets with her flowers and produce. She worked alongside of her husband in their Auction Business for 38 years.
There will be no service or visitation. A private family internment will be at a later date.
