William Vang
William D. Vang, 59, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at Lantern Park in Coralville, IA surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with cancer. Bill was born to John & Diane (Stott) Vang on 12/21/1955 in Sterling, CO. A graveside service will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, IA on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 12:30 PM, followed by a gathering at the American Legion Post 403.
Following his service in the US Army from 1975-1979 he worked as a truck driver for Ole Castle. In his free time William enjoyed fishing, exploring the internet, classic cars and talking to others. No matter the work at hand Bill would leave no job left undone and the outcome he desired was selfless.
Left to cherish William’s memories are his wife of 27 years, Mary (Snyder). His children Larry (Stacey) Breyer Urbana IA, Nick (Katy) Breyer St Louis IL, Angela (Corby) Swick Tipton IA. Sisters Carol Busch of Lincoln NE & Valerie Johnson of Plattsmouth NE, Brothers Lonnie Vang of Springfield MI & John Vang Jr of Wyoming. Grand-children: Connor, Brodie, Madeline, Jesse, Beau and Jack. Many nieces and nephews and his Uncle Harold.
Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and grandchild Hugh Cooper Breyer.
Memorial donations can be directed to the Care Initiatives Hospice at 3720 Queen Court SW Ste 9 Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. Funeral arrangements were provided by Iowa Cremation.
