Maxine L. Wedge, age 85, of Clinton, Iowa, died Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport after a sudden illness.
Maxine was born May 24, 1929 in Crystal, Michigan to Max and Louise (Meyer) Fuller. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Maxine was united in marriage to Henry Wedge on November 27, 1954 at the People’s Church in East Lansing, Michigan.
She worked in customer service, and then later at the Clinton Public Library. Maxine had been a resident of Lansing, Michigan, Streator, Illinois, Madison, Wisconsin, and most recently, Clinton, Iowa since 1970.
She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church, Women United, Friends of the Clinton Public Library, Business and Professional Women, the Eagles Auxiliary, and the Girl Scouts of America.
Maxine enjoyed genealogy research, traveling, cats, reading, and knitting.
She is survived by her children Gary Wedge of Clinton, Iowa and Christine Wedge of ;
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband in 1979.
